Shibaura Machine’s range of industrial robots will be demonstrated live at the Assembly Show 2018, which is held from October 23 to 25 in Rosemont, Illinois. TM Robotics, Shibaura Machine’s North and South American distribution partner, will exhibit several of the company’s industrial SCARA and 6-axis robots from stand number 2000, demonstrating the latest robotics for use in assembly applications.
The Assembly Show offers three days of educational seminars on the latest in assembly equipment and machinery. Visitors can witness the newest launches in assembly technology, which will help manufacturers to make more informed business decisions to keep their factory floors competitive. New product launches at the 2018 event, include a live action display of the latest TShibaura Machine 6-axis robot, the TVM1200.
The TVM1200 is the mid-sized robot in the company’s brand new, cost-effective TVM range. The robot is available in three models, each with varying reach and payload specifications. The largest model, the TVM1500, provides a maximum reach of 1715mm, whereas the TVM1200 can reach up to 1418mm. The smallest model, the TVM900, provides a maximum reach of up to 1124mm.
Alongside the new TVM range, TM Robotics will also demonstrate the TVL700, a low energy 6-axis robot, and THE400, the company’s newest SCARA model. These two robots will demonstrate the machine’s vision and inspection capabilities, in collaboration with Keyence vision equipment. The TVL700 and THE400 will operate together in a cell designed and programmed by Precise Automation, TM Robotics’ US vision integration partners.
“The TVL700 and THE400 demonstration will illustrate both robots’ ability to pick, inspect and sort objects using the Keyence vision equipment,” explained Nigel Smith, president of TM Robotics. “The process requires a great deal of accuracy and intelligence, and the demonstration will use controls designed, supplied and built by another of our partners, Illinois-based ECD Controls.
“Both partners, Precise Automation and ECD controls, will be present at the TM Robotics stand, number 2000. The company’s teams of experts will be at hand to provide insight into the demonstration and answer any technical questions that visitors may have.”
TM Robotics’ executive vice president, Ryan Gutherie, will also be present at the Assembly Show. To arrange a meeting, please contact the team in advance on info@tmrobotics.com or call the local office on (847)-709-7308.
