To bolster the robot’s overall performance, Shibaura Machine engineers have employed an innovative aluminium extrusion cross-section for the SCARA robot arms. This custom-designed and manufactured material provides a remarkable 55 per cent reduction in weight compared to traditional cast aluminium, without compromising strength or mechanical integrity. As a result, these articulated arms deliver exceptional durability and agility for demanding industrial environments while contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the system.

TSL3000E controller
The TSL3000E is a compact controller designed for Shibaura Machine's THL Series of industrial robots, facilitating easy installation in confined spaces.

- Programming language: Utilises SCOL, enabling efficient programming of robotic tasks
- Movement commands: Supports various movement commands, including PTP (point to point), CP (Continuous Path: Linear, Circular), short-cut and arch motion, allowing for versatile robotic operations
- Memory capacity: Equipped with 0.5 MB of memory, capable of storing up to 256 programs, with each program accommodating up to 2,000 data points and 3,000 lines
- I/O signals: Provides eight general inputs and eight general outputs, along with system signals for program selection, start, stop, reset and more, ensuring comprehensive control capabilities
- Communication ports: Includes one RS-232C port and four Ethernet ports, facilitating seamless integration with various industrial networks
- Power supply: Operates on a single-phase AC power supply ranging from 190V to 240V at 50/60 Hz, with a separate DC24V power supply for I/O signals, ensuring compatibility with standard industrial power sources
